Embed styles?

I don't see any difference between 'embed styles' on and off.

I would have thought that turning it off would just use css classes but it still embeds the styles.

Hi Dave,

I just tried what you are asking and it does indeed work as intended. If you select Embed styles it creates the CSS styles inline. However, if you clear the flag the generated HTML only contains references to CSS classes. I checked this by generating code snippets in WLW and viewing the results using the Web Layout (F11).

Hi Leo,

you are right - i ended up compling the code and tracing it through the debugger and there i found that the preview always embeds the styles (which was how I was confused).

thanks,
